WHO I AM AND WHAT I DO!
Ryan Clawson is a designer always looking forward. He tries to avoid creating projects that are too trendy or just more of the same. He understands working with clients and major brands that this can be a challenge. You have to accommodate for brand standards and the clients personal taste. He finds that bringing options and research into projects can really help mold the client into some progressive possibilities. Beyond being a designer his personal interest include hiking, video making, photography & live music.
Ryan got he start being the designer at an offset printer and doing freelance work for advertising agencies. From there, he took on a senior designer/managers roll at a decorated apparel facility. For over the last 18 years he has specialized in this industry working with clients such as the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Blackhawks, Harley Division, Brookfield Zoo, UIC, NIU and many more. Over this period he has also studied the technology and design process of current web & mobile. Recently he took an extensive training course at General Assembly in Chicago for UX design. Understanding the current direction and possibilities with user experience is essential in creating the visual look of the current technologies.
Beyond working with clients, his best skilled applications and knowledge are in Adobe Creative Suite (a true professional in Illustrator & Photoshop, but can get around everything else with ease) He’s also very proficient with video editing using Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere. He also has a great understanding of HTML & CSS as well is proficient with creating websites in WordPress. Ryan has true a passion for design & technology!
